Ecology and Environment named Michael S. Betrus an independent director on the board of directors and a member of the audit committee. Betrus, a CPA, has more than 35 years of experience in accounting, financial management, contractual oversight and budget forecasting. He is currently the senior vice president and chief financial officer of Power Drives, a manufacturing and industrial distribution company located in Buffalo.


Clarence Toastmaster member Renee Paser-Paull was recently awarded the Triple Crown by Toastmasters Western District 65 for receiving three awards in communication and leadership within a single year. Paser-Paull is a member and officer of the Clarence Toastmasters, sponsored by the Clarence Chamber of Commerce. She has also won several Clarence Toastmasters speech contests.


PLS 3rd Learning recently promoted Jim Connolly to director of Operations. Connolly began at the company as project manager. He graduated from Boston University with a master’s degree. PLS 3rd Learning, an education technology company, is located in Buffalo.

Dunkin’ Donuts donated $7,000 to Roswell Park Cancer Institute from its Iced Coffee Day on May 21. Dunkin’ Donuts and participating Buffalo franchisees donated $1 from every cup of Iced Coffee sold in the greater Buffalo area.
