Road to the Draft: Jeremiah Attaochu

Position: DE or OLB.
School: Georgia Tech.
Measurements: 6-foot-3, 252 pounds.
40 time: 4.60 seconds. Vertical jump: 37.5 inches.
2013 stats: 12.5 sacks, 16 tackles for loss.
Draft projection: Second round.

Lowdown: Attaochu is an edge rusher, whether it’s in the 4-3 or 3-4. He’s not a one-year wonder. He had 31.5 sacks for his career. He’s intelligent. He has good character. He could be a Buffalo Bills target in the second round. He may be more of a situational rusher in the 4-3, getting 60 percent of the snaps. Nevertheless, he will be a productive pro. He wasn’t impressive at the Senior Bowl, but he was dinged up that week. He was outstanding against Clemson and Georgia and good against North Carolina. He held his own vs. Virginia’s fine tackle, Morgan Moses.

He said it: “I played in a 3-4 the first three years of my career. I played in the 4-3 over my last year of my career. That kind of made me more versatile and be able to do both.”
