The Band Perry, Gloriana, Citizen Cope play UB Springfest

A diverse lineup will share the stage at the University at Buffalo’s annual Springfest celebration beginning at 5:45 p.m. Friday in the Alumni Arena parking lot on UB’s North Campus in Amherst.

The Band Perry and Gloriana, a pair of contemporary country bands, will share the roster with renowned folk/blues/soul/hip-hop auteur Citizen Cope and the Michael King Band. The sibling trio the Band Perry is a rising star in the contemporary country field, and one that is likely to be headlining arenas rather soon. Gloriana, another sibling act, is fronted by brothers Tom and Mike Gossin. The country up-and-comer already has six Top 40 singles to its credit. Citizen Cope is performing a solo acoustic show.

Springfest is a student-run event, and so, it makes sense that 5,000 UB students will receive free tickets to the concert. Limited general admission tickets are $35. In the event of rain, Springfest will be moved inside Alumni Arena.
