Three people were arrested by Niagara County Sheriff’s deputies Friday after a pickup truck crashed into a utility pole at the intersection of Wilson-Cambria and German roads in the Town of Wilson.
Deputies were dispatched to the scene at 8:16 a.m. and determined that the 1996 Ford pickup truck had been headed north on Wilson-Cambria Road when it crossed the southbound lane and struck a pole before hitting a culvert and coming to rest on the shoulder of the road.
According to deputies, the driver, Patricia Davis, 25, of Wilson, and a passenger, Ralph Gillon, 44, of Niagara Falls, both gave conflicting stories about the cause of the accident. Davis also provided a false name, they said. A witness to the accident told deputies that a third passenger, Kelly Jarvis, 24, of Niagara Falls, had fled the scene before deputies arrived. Jarvis was later found about a half-mile away in a yard on German Road.
Davis, Gillon and Jarvis were each charged with 7th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Both Davis and Jarvis were charged with possession of a hypodermic instrument. Davis also was charged with failure to keep right, driving with an open container of an alcoholic beverage, driving while impaired and false impersonation. Jarvis, who deputies detained on a warrant from the City of Niagara Falls, was additionally charged with obstruction of governmental administration.
