Griffs rally to win in 9th

A sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth gave the Canisius Golden Griffins a 7-6 win over Youngstown State at the Demske Sports Complex.

It was the third straight win for the Griffs (25-14) who have now won five of their last six.

With the game tied, Connor Panas drew a walk and freshman Christ Conley drove the first pitch to center field allowing the winning run to score on the sacrifice fly.

The Griffs return to Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action this weekend with a three-game series at Marist.
