Three arrested in Lockport home invasion

Three people were arrested Saturday night in connection with a home invasion in Lockport.

Police said the robbery at 237 Lock St. began when suspects kicked in the door of the residence and, brandishing a pistol at residents and guests, stole several Playstations, a laptop and other property.

Several suspects were picked up when police arrived at the scene at about 11 p.m. and found them running out the front door of the home.

Two other suspects ran from the house and were tracked down by a canine unit of the Lewiston Police Department with help from the state police and the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office.

Lockport police said a subsequent investigation resulted in three of the suspects being charged. They are Maria Parete, 19, Lewis Williams, 16, and Kyliek Bembo, 16, all of Lockport.

Police said a air soft-pellet pistol was found at the house.
