Kenmore man arrested for passing himself off as collecting for charity

A 31-year-old Kenmore man was charged with misdemeanor crimes of criminal trespass and criminal impersonation Friday afternoon in a printing store in the 2100 block of Elmwood Avenue after allegedly trying to pass himself off as collecting funds for a breast cancer charity and a local college scholarship fund.

Update: The charges against Michael Hinckley, of Tremaine Avenue, were later dismissed.

Correction: The Buffalo News incorrectly reported in 2014 the charges against Hinckley.
