NIAGARA FALLS – A water main on South 86th Street will be repaired this week causing some traffic restrictions on the bridge to Cayuga Island, the Niagara Falls Water Board announced Monday.
Contractors on the project will begin their work at 7 a.m. Wednesday and complete it by 5 p.m. Thursday.
Residents on Cayuga Island may experience intermittent decreases in water pressure, volume and/or water discoloration. If discoloration occurs, customers should run the cold water tap from the lowest point in their house for three minutes or until clear.
Water quality will not be adversely impacted during the procedure and is entirely safe for consumption, according to the Water Board.
For more information or questions, customers should call 283-9770, ext. 201 or ext. 0 after regular business hours.
