Canalside looking for local women- and minority-owned vendors

Global Spectrum, the entertainment management subsidiary of Philadelphia-based Comcast Spectacor that was hired to operate Canalside, will host a meeting for certified minority businesses, organizations and vendors on March 27 at 4:30 p.m.

The meeting in the fifth-floor conference room at 95 Perry St. in Buffalo, is for Global Spectrum and the businesses to get to know each other and talk about how to partner together. The meeting is aimed both at potential food and beverage vendors as well as at companies that might rent equipment to Canalside or could provide office-related, printing, signs, facility logistics or other services for Canalside.

The program is free and open to representatives of certified minority- and women-owned businesses and micro-enterprises. Ryan Coate, a Global Spectrum executive and general manager of Canalside, will be present, along with other company officials. For more information, please visit or email
