STOUFFER, Jeannette E. (Bourque)

STOUFFER - Jeannette E. (nee Bourque)
June 21, 1923-February 23, 2014. Wife of the late Ray C.; dear mother of Paulette (Dave) Morris, Gary (Becky) Stouffer, Karen (Tom) Swann and Raymond (Pat) Stouffer; loving grandmother of Nathan Stouffer, Jeff (Lindsay) Morris, Bryan (Brittany) Stouffer, Jeryl (Chad) Schulenburg, Kathryn (Andrew) Weiland, Kate and Mike Swann; great-grandmother of Kaelyn and Kellen Schulenburg; sister of Irene Clamp; also survived by nieces and nephews. Jeannette enjoyed being a typesetter for Bee Publications and reluctantly retired after 42 years. She made life-long friends there. She was an expert gardener with an enviable flower garden, a fantastic pie maker and cook, card player and cat lover. She loved to read the daily paper with her cup of coffee. Jeannette could knit and sew beautifully. Her children all have memories of her calling on their birthdays to serenade them with the "Happy Birthday" song. She always had music playing and loved to sing to each new grandchild as she rocked them. In-law jokes had no place in this family, as each of her children's spouses adored her, and she them. Jeannette had an ever-present smile and was an eternal optimist. Funeral services at Trinity United Methodist Church, 711 Niagara Falls Blvd., Amherst, Friday at 10 AM. No prior visitation. Interment in Acacia Park Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Please share online condolences at
