Program at UB will discuss opting out of state testing

A group of parents and educators will discuss opting children out of controversial standardized state tests at a public forum from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday in Room 105, Harriman Hall, on the University at Buffalo South Campus.

The program, entitled “The Truths About Common Core, Testing and Data Sharing: Why Parents Are Opting Out” and sponsored by Western New Yorkers for Public Education, will feature a panel of five parents and educators who will provide information and answer questions.
