Knife-wielding robber holds up Lockport convenience store

TOWN OF LOCKPORT – A man armed with a knife robbed an undetermined amount of money from the NOCO Express Store on South Transit Road Sunday afternoon, then fled to a waiting car before being whisked away.

Niagara County Sheriff’s deputies said the robber entered the store at 6233 S. Transit Road around 3:20 p.m. armed with a knife and demanding money. He fled on foot, running to the rear of the store before jumping a fence leading into the Woodlands Manufactured Home complex. There he entered a white sedan waiting on Norwood Drive with two other people inside.

The suspect is described as a white male in his twenties, about 5 feet,9 inches tall with a thin build and a scruffy beard. He wore a blue knit hat with Buffalo Sabres and Labatt’s Blue beer logos, and his coat had a large British flag on the back.
