Traffic stop results in weapons charge for Kenmore man

WHEATFIELD – A traffic stop for illegally tinted windows and an expired inspection sticker led to weapons charges after a man was found to be carrying brass knuckles in a coat pocket just after 4:30 p.m. Monday in the 2100 block of River Road.

Charles B. Internicola, 19, of Oakridge Avenue, Kenmore, was charged by Niagara County sheriff’s deputies with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, equipment violation and operating a motor vehicle without an inspection sticker. He also was issued an appearance ticket after a small amount of marijuana was found.

Deputies said they pulled Internicola over for the violations and could smell the odor of marijuana. During a pat down, metal knuckles were found in his right coat pocket, according to deputies.
