WAHL WAHL - Anita M. (nee Flanigen)
January 25, 2014, beloved wife of the late John L. Wahl; dearest mother of John J. (Marilyn), Michael S. (Josette), Mary Ann (Craig) Silver, Robert M. (Terry) and the late Patricia Jean (Roger S.) Shelley; loving grandmother of 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; dear sister of Robert (Winifred) Flanigen, Margaret (Harold) Stockman, Mary (Gary) Stoldt and the late Patricia (Harold) Leach; also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family will be present on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the (Harris Hill Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8440 Main Street (near Harris Hill Road). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 AM at St. Mary's Church (Swormville), 6919 Transit Road, Swormville, NY. Friends invited. All are asked to assemble at the old church. Anita was a registered nurse where she met the love of her life, John, after caring for him for a year and a half in Mercy Hospital. She spent more than 20 years caring for many in various hospitals. At the age of 52, she went back to Buffalo State College to earn her teaching degree, which she then used to be an educator in the Buffalo School System teaching Licensed Practical Nursing. Anita was a devoted grandmother spending most of her retirement with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Flowers gratefully declined.
