Orchard Park Village Mayor John Wilson and town Supervisor Patrick Keem will team up to deliver a “State of Orchard Park” address next month.
The town and village are taking the step to promote “transparency and accountability of government as well as enhancing communication between local government and the community it serves,” according to the announcement of the meeting.
Wilson, Keem and members of the village and town boards will be on hand for the address at 7 p.m. Feb. 12 in the board room of the municipal building. They will give an assessment of current services and programs, achievements and challenges, as well as identifying priorities, ideas and goals for the coming year.
One of Keem’s platforms was to increase communication between the two levels of government.
After the address, residents can tour town and village offices, which are located in the municipal center.
