The 10th annual Alden Winterfest kicks-off Friday evening at 7 p.m. and runs all day Saturday, with events planned for all ages.
Numerous outdoor and indoor activities are scheduled, including snow sculpting, skiing, a bounce house at the middle school and live music.
There will also be a food drive to benefit the Alden-Marilla Food Pantry, which is new to this year’s event, said Village Mayor Mike Manicki.
A marketplace will be set-up in Village Hall, 13336 Broadway, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, followed by live music in the hall from 7 p.m. to midnight. Sarah Elizabeth Genco goes on at 7 p.m., with Heritage following at 8 p.m.
While the evening music event is free, people attending are asked to bring a canned good to donate to the food pantry. Beer and wine will be available.
