Behind the scenes: auditions, call for works

The Hamburg Natural History Society/Penn Dixie annual fundraiser and anniversary celebration will be from 6 to 9 p.m. next Thursday in JP’s Pub & Banquet Facility (1986 Lake View Road, Lake View). The event includes auctions, prizes, raffles and food to help support the educational programs, events and operations of the Penn Dixie Paleontological and Outdoor Education Center in Hamburg. Auditions for “A Christmas Carol” will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday in the Ghostlight Theatre (170 Schenck St., North Tonawanda).
