A hydraulic jackhammer stolen from a Falls business

NIAGARA FALLS – A hydraulic jackhammer, valued at $10,000, was stolen from a storage facility sometime in the past month and a half, according to an employee of Gross Plumbing Heating and Cooling.

The employee told police Tuesday that the Kubota jackhammer weighs several hundred pounds and hasn’t been used since it was purchased three years ago. The item was discovered missing from the storage facility in the 200 block of 12th Street on Sept. 1 and after an internal investigation police were contacted.

The employee said there was no sign of forced entry.
