Alpha Sigma Tau, Buffalo Alumnae Chapter, will celebrate the national sorority’s 114th anniversary with a Founder’s Day Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Saturdayin Fox Valley Club, 6161 Genesee St., Lancaster.

Attending will be collegiate members from SUNY Buffalo State (Sigma), the University at Buffalo (Epsilon Mu) and SUNY Geneseo State (Epsilon Rho). Sisters are asked to donate canned goods for the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Food Pantry. For reservations, contact Nicole Ball @

Members of the alumnae chapter will prepare food for guests at the Ronald McDonald House on Nov. 7 and Nov. 30. For information, contact Holly Labrake Dneze.


The Buffalo Federation of Women’s Clubs will have its annual Scholarship Tea from 2 to 4 p.m. Nov. 7 at the Center for Tomorrow, University at Buffalo North Campus, Amherst. Individual and club contributions will be received, and scholarships awarded to students attending UB and SUNY Buffalo State. For reservations, call Linda Eaton at 854-3654.


Clarence Women’s Club will have its monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday in Clarence Town Park Clubhouse, 10405 Main St. Scott Laughlin, director of Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Buffalo, will speak on “Identity Theft Protection.” Guests and new members are welcome.
