Orchard Park cops nab three for drunk driving

Two people were arrested on drunk driving charges in separate incidents in Orchard Park early this morning.

Lisa Boitschenko, 42, of Buffalo was arrested at 2:45 a.m. on Southwestern Boulevard, while Detlef Whitlow, 62, of Orchard Park, was arrested at 3:15 a.m. at the intersection of Big Tree and Abbott roads.

Boitschenko was driving erratically, unable to stay in the lane, when police pulled her vehicle over, and then learned she was driving with a conditional license as the result of a prior drunk driving conviction, according to Orchard Park police. Her blood alcohol content this morning was .16 – twice the legal limit, police said.

Boitschenko was charged with drunk driving, failure to keep right and felony aggravated unlicensed operation, due to the previous drunk driving conviction.

Whitlow’s car was stopped on Big Tree Road, not moving, at a green light, police said. He turned onto Abbott without signaling, then pulled into a nearby parking lot, and turned the vehicle lights off. He failed a field sobriety test, then refused to take a blood-alcohol test, and resisted arrested, police said. He was charged with drunk driving, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration, refusal to submit to a chemical test, failure to obey a traffic signal and failure to use a turn signal.

Orchard Park police also charged another driver early Friday. Rhianna Holscher, 28, of West Seneca, was arrested 3:30 a.m. on Abbott Road. She was stopped for speeding and failure to stay in the lane, police said. When an officer approached, he found vomit on the inside and outside of the car, police said. When Holscher was asked to get out of her car, she fell out of the vehicle and was unable to stand, police said. She was charged with drunk driving, refusing a breath test, speeding and failure to keep right.
