Gang member pleads guilty to shooting at rivals

A 10th Street Gang member admitted Friday to shooting at several rival gang members in September of 2009 as part of a plea deal that could send him to federal prison for 17 years.

Cody Busch, 27, the latest 10th Street member to be convicted, pleaded guilty to a racketeering conspiracy charge before U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Joseph M. Tripi said Busch was trying to kill the rival gang members – no one was injured – when he shot at their white SUV on Buffalo’s West Side.

Busch’s plea is the result of an investigation by the FBI’s Safe Streets Task force.
