Well-equipped touring bike stolen from Delaware Avenue pharmacy entrance

Buffalo police are investigating the theft of a touring bike with saddle bags and camping equipment that was taken from the front entrance of a Delaware Avenue pharmacy.

The victim, who’s from Florida, told Central District police that his titanium bike, which also had a tent attached, was taken from the front entrance to Walgreens, on Delaware Avenue, shortly before 11 a.m. Sunday.

The thief fled south on Delaware and was last seen heading north on nearby Irving Place.

Detectives have photos of the bike and are looking at video footage from the store, in an attempt to recover the bicycle and solve the case, police reported.
