Rochelle Gray, retired executive secretary for the plant manager of the General Motors Tonawanda Engine Plant, died Thursday in her Williamsville home after a short illness. She was 80.
A native of Batavia, she held an associate degree in business from Bryant & Stratton Institute.
Before joining GM, she had been a secretary at The Buffalo Evening News.
She retired in 1985.
A longtime member of Harris Hill United Methodist Church, she participated in many missions and ministries at the church, including disaster relief.
She was an active member of the American Diabetes Association and conducted seminars in diabetic care.
She was a member of GM Retirees and edited the group’s newsletter. She also was a member of the Clarence Book Club. She is survived by her sister, Betty Buyers, and a brother, Wayne Gray.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in Harris Hill United Methodist Church, 8495 Main St., Clarence.
