Attica gridder injured during Friday game in Alexander discharged from ECMC

ALEXANDER – A high school football player airlifted to the hospital after being injured during a game on Friday has been discharged.

Tyler Friedhaber, who plays for Attica , was injured during Friday’s game against Alexander and had to be flown to Erie County Medical Center, according to published reports. Friedhaber was released on Saturday, a hospital official said.

This latest incident comes two weeks after 16-year-old Damon Janes, a player for the Westfield-Brocton team, was injured during a game against Portville, then died from his injuries three days later.
