Buffalo Urban League readies Masquerade Soiree

The Buffalo Urban League Young Professionals will celebrate their first anniversary Saturday evening with a Masquerade Soiree in Samuel’s Grande Manor, 8750 Main St., Clarence.

Honored during the program will be Sherrita Crump, who will receive the Whitney M. Young Award for her work with the group; educator and entrepreneur Dennis Wilson, owner of the Oak Room Restaurant; and community organizer Beth Weinberg.

The evening begins at 6 with a reception and music by the Lyte Band. Dancing will follow dinner and presentation of awards. Tickets are $60. For information, call Jamil Crews at 903-4689.
