The closure of the South Cascade-Miller Road Bridge in Springville, originally scheduled for this week, has been postponed for one week.
The state Department of Transportation notified village officials late last week that inspection of the structure, better known as the “old Route 219 Bridge,” is delayed until Monday. The work will close the bridge from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The duration of the closure should not exceed five days and maybe less, village officials said. A detour will route drivers over the divided portion of Route 219.
