Two sites in historic district nominated for preservation

LITTLE VALLEY – Two of the 20 nominations announced by the New York State Board for Historic Preservation are in Cattaraugus County.

The Cattaraugus Commercial Historic District, which encompasses the commercial corridor of the village after it was rebuilt following a fire in 1888, is one of them. The other is Leon Grange in Leon, a 1903 two-story building that was the primary meeting place for the local farming community and is now home to the Leon Historical Society.
