Most students who attended summer school in the Maryvale School District were able to achieve their goals, according to a report given at the Board of Education meeting Monday night.
The district offered students from grades seven to twelve a summer school program. Of the 37 high school age students who attended, 34 students received the credits they needed from the program, with another two students completing their coursework now in hopes of graduating in January.
Forty-two middle school students, taking a total of 72 courses, attended the program. Those students ended up receiving credit for 64 of those courses.
The district also has a kindergarten through fifth grade summer school program, of which 84 students attended.
