Office for the Aging to hold Resource Fair

LOCKPORT – The Niagara County Office for the Aging will hold its first Senior and Caregiver Information and Resource Fair from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Cornell Cooperative Extension building on the County Fairgrounds, 4487 Lake Ave.

The county’s NY Connects program will offer free van transportation from the senior centers in Niagara Falls and North Tonawanda; sign-up sheets are in place in those centers.

The event includes flu and pneumonia vaccinations from the county Health Department, vendor tables and health and wellness information. Unyts will conduct a blood drive.

The Office for the Aging will hold its mandated annual public hearing on senior programming at 4 p.m., and Rep. Chris Collins, State Sen. George D. Maziarz and Assemblywoman Jane Corwin are scheduled to hold public discussions.
