Woman charged for delay in calling for help for infant

A 24-year-old Bush Street woman was arrested on child-endangerment charges for allegedly waiting too long to call for help for a six-month-old infant who was not breathing.

After police rushed to the apartment and performed CPR twice to revive the child, Arielle J. Brewer was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and the baby was taken by ambulance to Women & Children’s Hospital.

Police also notified Erie County Child Protection Service workers about the incident.
