The Explore and More Children’s Museum in East Aurora selected Jennifer A. Shah as a board member. Shah is an attorney with Phillips Lytle.


The Western New York Affiliate of Susan G. Komen named Dr. Ermelinda Bonaccio, director of mammogrpahy at Roswell Park Cancer Institute; Scott M. Philbin, Bond, Schoeneck and King; and Mary C. Szabat, Beltz Ianni and Associates, to its board of directors.


Clarence Community and Schools Federal Credit Union chief executive officer/manager Marsha Brauer was named Outstanding Professional of the Year by the Credit Union Association of New York at its 2013 convention. The Clarence credit union also was awarded first place in all three of the following categories: Desjardins Financial Literacy (efforts in Clarence-area schools), Dora Maxwell Community Service (Gifts for Hurricane Sandy victims) and Louise Herring Philosophy in Action (Credit Card Rewards Program). The three honorees will advance to the national level, the Credit Union National Association.

Company Connections

The Center for Women at Mount St. Mary’s Hospital earned a “Five Star Excellence Award” for scoring in the top 10 percent nationally in patient satisfaction for the second consecutive year. The recognition comes from Professional Research Consultants, a national health care research organization. Andrea Rosati, a provider at the center, earned an individual Five Star award.


Tecmotiv Inc., Niagara Falls, was awarded a $11,025,485 federal contract for depot-level engine repairs in support of the M88A2 heavy recovery vehicle by the U.S. Army Contracting Command, Warren, Mich.


DRS ICAS LLC, Buffalo, was awarded a $5,375 federal contract for communication, detection and coherent radiation equipment from the U.S. Air Force Materiel Command, Hill Air Force Base, Utah.


Moog Inc., East Aurora was awarded a $7,674,650 federal contract for electro-mechanical actuators from the U.S. Naval Supply Systems Command, Philadelphia.


The Citizens Bank Foundation donated $20,000 to the Food Bank of WNY to help children throughout Western New York gain access to free nutritional meals this summer. The grant is part of an overall investment of $60,000 from the Citizens Bank Foundation to food banks across New York State this summer to combat childhood hunger, part of its “Citizens Helping Citizens Fight Hunger” initiative.
