Niagara to play game in FNC as part of non-conference hoops schedule

The Niagara men’s basketball team will play Big Four rival St. Bonaventure and the University at Buffalo as well as a game at the First Niagara Center as part of its 11-game non-conference schedule announced on Wednesday.

NU opens it home schedule against UB on Nov. 13 at 7 p.m.

On Dec. 11, the Purple Eagles will host Southern Conference champion Davidson at First Niagara Center.

NU plays St. Bonaventure on Dec. 21 at 5 p.m.

Niagara will also play in the NABC Tournament at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center at Kent State.

Play opens Nov. 9 against Seton Hall and continues against Kent State (Nov. 21), USC Upstate (Nov. 22) and Western Carolina (Nov. 23).

The Purple Eagles are led by All-MAAC first-team junior Antoine Mason, who led the team to an NIT bid last season. Chris Casey was named the program’s 21st head coach in April.
