Suspicious fire extensively damages house in Broadway-Bailey area

A suspicious fire ripped through a vacant house in Buffalo’s Broadway-Bailey area early Monday morning, causing an estimated $20,000 damage, authorities said.

Buffalo firefighters responded to a 12:10 a.m. alarm at 64 Liddell St., north of Broadway, six blocks west of Bailey Avenue. The fire started on the first floor and extended to the second, fire officials reported.
