Welcome to a Sunday morning filled with roster moves.

We start with outfielder Melky Cabrera who was activated by the Toronto Blue Jays off his Major League rehabilitation assignment with the Buffalo Bisons. Cabrera played two games with the Herd with three hits in five at-bats. He left the game Saturday night after the fifth inning and was on his way to Toronto by the time the game ended.

To make room for Cabrera, the Blue Jays optioned righty Neil Wagner to Buffalo. Wagner began his season with the Herd and was one of the best closers in the International League. In 19 games with the Bisons, he was 1-0 with a 0.89 earned run average. He was perfect in all 13 of his save opportunities.

Wagner was promoted on May 29 and in 20 relief appearances with the Jays he was 2-3 with a 3.26 ERA in 19 1/3 innings of work.

Lefty J.A. Happ is scheduled to start for the Bisons on Tuesday for his next Major League rehabilitation start. Happy has been on the Blue Jays disabled list since May 8 after being hit in the head with a line drive. He has made two rehab starts, giving up two runs on four hits in three innings for the rookie-level Gulf Coast League Blue Jays and five scoreless innings for Single-A Dunedin, where he gave up three hits with seven strikeouts.

Wang makes third start: Righty Chien-Ming Wang has given a quality performance in his first two starts with the Herd. He last pitched on July 13 against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, throwing six innings. He gave up two runs on five hits but took the loss.

Against Toledo: The Mud Hens hold a 2-1 lead in the series as the teams finish out the set this afternoon at Coca-Cola Field (1:05 p.m.). The Herd has not lost a four-game series at home to Toledo since 2003.
