Smallwood Garden Club will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in Forest Elementary School, 250 N. Forest Road, Amherst. John Farfaglia, horticulture expert with the Niagara County Cornell Cooperative Extension, will present “Top 10 Insects and Diseases in Your Garden this Year.” Guests welcome.


Federated Holland Garden Club will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Brink Memorial Community Center, Legion Drive, Holland. Following a business meeting and luncheon, Robert Poczik, a retired educator, will present “Dream Window: An Exploration of the Japanese Garden.” Gardens in Kyoto, Japan, Philadelphia, Vancouver, Seattle and Buffalo will be featured. The Interior Design Association will present its “Trims to Treasurers” sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. next Friday and June 22 at Life Transitions Center, 1140 Delaware Ave. Decorator fabrics, accessories, wallpaper, furniture and antiques will be sold at reduced prices.
