PORTER – The driver in a fatal crash on Porter-Center Road on Monday was identified by the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office today as Laurie Rebon, 56, of Youngstown.
Sheriff’s officials said they received numerous calls just before 1 p.m. Monday when a driver struck a tree at a high rate of speed in the 3200 block of Porter-Center Road.
Deputies determined that Rebon’s car was traveling southbound when she lost control and veered off the west side of the road, striking a tree before coming to rest on the front lawn at 3226 Porter-Center Road. Rebon was transported to Mount St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston and pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
