GERRY – A Lakewood woman was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and ticketed for texting while driving, following a two-vehicle collision on Route 60 in Gerry on Sunday night, State Police at Jamestown reported.
Trooper Keith Mulawka responded to the collision, which involved one vehicle rear-ending another, at about 8:20 p.m. He determined that Ashley Swan, 23, was text messaging and intoxicated when her vehicle struck the other one, according to police reports.
A breath test later revealed that Swan had a blood-alcohol content of 0.21 percent, police said.
The other driver, whose name wasn’t released, was taken to WCA Hospital with injuries described as non-life threatening.
