Jaeckle Fleischmann & Mugel partner Scott P. Horton recently presented “Employment Practices and Social Media” at a New York State Bar Association Continuing Legal Education seminar.

Company Connections

Three Buffalo-based firms made the list of the 2013 Best Companies to Work for in New York State, for large employers with 250 or more U.S. employees: Horizon Health Services, Independent Health and Goldberg Segalla. MBMS Inc. made the list in the ranking of small- to medium-size employers, with 15 to 249 U.S. employees. The program is a partnership of the New York State Society for Human Resource Management, Best Companies Group, Journal Multimedia Corp. and the Business Council of New York.


Four local companies won regional advertising awards through the American Advertising Federation: Hadley Exhibits, a Gold ADDY for Zippo Outdoor exhibit; White Bicycle, a Gold ADDY for the Andrew Bird “Lusitania” poster; Crowley Webb, a Silver ADDY for the fireworks poster campaign for Skylighters Fireworks; and Print Collection, a Silver ADDY for State of America print collection. To enter the regional competition, submissions had to win a Gold ADDY locally.
