Arrest made in March Grider Street burglary

The arrest of a Person Street man who is accused of breaking into a Grider Street home two months ago and stealing $23,000 was announced by Buffalo police.

Maurice C. Brice, 29, was being held on second-degree burglary, third-degree grand larceny and first-degree forgery charges lodged by Police Officers Tina Ferraro and Molly Constantino after an investigation into the alleged burglary at a home in the 200 block of Grider Street near Erie County Medical Center at about 3:30 p.m. March 26.

Brice is accused of breaking a window to get into the home of a woman he reportedly knew and stealing the cash and allegedly paying cash for a new car he purchased two days after the burglary. He was charged with the forgery count after the officers allegedly found a counterfeit $20 bill in his trousers pocket while questioning him last week.
