DWI charge lodged in pair of LaSalle hit-and-run crashes

NIAGARA FALLS – A Niagara Falls woman was charged with driving while intoxicated after hit-and run incidents Friday night in the city’s LaSalle neighborhood, police said.

Officers enroute to the report of a hit-and-run crash at 56th Street and Niagara Falls Boulevard about 9:30 p.m. learned the same vehicle was involved in another crash at 71st Street and Frontier Avenue, police said. At the scene of the second crash, Lynette R. Billings, 38, of 66th Street, was arrested while attempting to flee on foot, police added.

Billings also was charged with consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle on a highway, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
