Orchard Park Police are conducting a public forum about the department at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Town Board chambers in the municipal center.
Chief Mark Pacholec said he wants the community to know where the department is with current programming and activities, as well as its plans for the future. Pacholec was appointed interim chief in January.
For those who won’t be able to go to the polls on school election day May 21, applications for absentee ballots for the vote may be obtained at the district clerk’s office, 3330 Baker Road.
Completed applications must be received by the clerk by May 14 if the ballot is to be mailed in by the voter, or by May 20 if the ballot is to be delivered in person by the voter. Absentee ballots must be received by the district clerk no later than 5 p.m. the day of the vote. For more information on absentee ballots, contact the clerk at 209-6280.

• Ellicott Development Company will discuss plans for the redevelopment of about 50 acres at 3900 N. Buffalo Road, located on the west side of North Buffalo Road, south of Webster Road, at a meeting of the Architectural Overlay Board at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the municipal center.
• The Town Board will hold a work session at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the supervisor’s conference room followed by a regular meeting at 7 p.m. in the board room in the municipal center, 4295 S. Buffalo St.
