LOCKPORT – A Niagara Falls man who pleaded guilty to a gun possession charge was sentenced Tuesday to a year in Niagara County Jail by County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas.

Thomas J. Pryor Jr., 20, of Center Avenue, admitted to a reduced charge of attempted second-degree criminal possession of a weapon in connection with a Dec. 3, 2011, traffic stop at 22nd Street and Willow Avenue.

Two other Falls men – DeMario D. Crittenden, 33, of 16th Street, and Levester J. Rose, 34, of Dudley Avenue – pleaded guilty to drug charges in the case, and are awaiting sentencing. Police said they found nearly one-quarter ounce of cocaine and a .38-caliber handgun in the car.
