Another family seeking to raise chickens on their West Seneca property will appear before the West Seneca Zoning Board of Appeals at its scheduled 7 p.m. Wednesday meeting at West Seneca Town Hall, 1250 Union Road.

The request for a variance is being made by Brian and Lisa Hirsch for their property at 122 Tampa Drive.

Several other issues, including the construction of fences and other structures requiring board approval, are also on the meeting’s agenda.

Also this week:

• The West Seneca Town Board will hold a 2 p.m. Thursday meeting at West Seneca Town Hall.

• A student recognition dinner at Winchester Elementary School will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday at the 650 Harlem Road school.

• There will be a prescription drug drop-off event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the West Seneca Senior Citizens Center, 4620 Seneca St. The event is being sponsored by the federal Drug Enforcement Administration.

• Jean Serusa and Nancy Barlow will make a 2 p.m. presentation next Sunday on Charles E. Burchfield’s art and life in Gardenville at the Burchfield Nature & Art Center, 2001 Union Road.
