CALL, Wendell Douglas

CALL - Wendell Douglas Son of Wendell and Jean Aldridge Call, of Stafford, NY, passed away April 14, 2013, at home with his family. Doug is survived by his wife of 50 years, Donna Hunt Call; sons Christopher Call, an Army Special Forces LTC, and Mathew Call of Indiana; daughter Courtney Call Kennedy of Pennsylvania; sisters Carolyn Hotchkiss of Canandaigua, Phoebe Dill of Delaware, Roxanne Graney of Florida and Abigail Call of Pennsylvania; brother Murray Call of Stafford; and 10 grandchildren. Doug, a graduate from LeRoy High School, Cornell University, Richmond Law School and Colgate Rochester Crozier Divinity School, served as a judge advocate in the Air Force, Assistant County Attorney and Genesee County Sheriff. He also served as Monroe County Director of Public Safety, practiced general law in Batavia, served as Stafford Town Judge and was a Presbyterian Commissioned Lay Pastor. The family will receive friends Thursday, 4-7 pm, at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home of Batavia. Memorial services will be held at Saturday at 1:30 PM at the First Presbyterian Church of Leroy. Memorial contributions may be made, in lieu of flowers, to First Presbyterian Church of LeRoy or Colgate Rochester Crozier Divinity School.
