SCHREIBER, Donald E.

SCHREIBER - Donald E. Of Sun City Center, FL and Depew, NY, died November 30, 2012 in the Sun City Center House after a brief illness. Donald was predeceased by his parents, Elizabeth Ferkel Schreiber and Edward Schreiber of Buffalo, NY and nephew Paul Constantino of Latham, NY. His older sister, Margaret Burnham of Winchester, MA died Frebruary 3, 2013. Born in Buffalo, Don was a graduate of Technical High School and Canisius College. He served honorably in the Army after World War II as part of the occupation force in Japan. He worked 40 years as a loyal employee of J. Burnham Inc. Appliance and Furniture Store, retiring in 1989, after serving for 20 years as corporate secretary. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2692, serving as treasurer for 18 years until 2003. An avid sports fan, Don enjoyed golf, swimming, euchre, traveling and dancing. He remained proudly independent throughout his life. He is survived by his sister Jeanette Schreiber Constantino and her husband Carl of New Bern, NC, and eight nieces and nephews, all who loved him dearly. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9 AM, May 18, 2013 at Resurrection R. C. Church in Cheektowaga, NY, with interment in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements by PAUL KLOC BLOSSOM CHAPEL.
