The Crisis Services Foundation Board elected Donald Ko, marketing manager at ValueCentric, president. The board also elected Tim Lafferty its newest director. Lafferty, an information technology sales and marketing professional, joins these directors: Scott Atwater, current foundation president and a partner with the Buffalo law firm of Gross, Shuman, Brizdle & Gilfillan; Ryan Casullo, vice president and branch manager, First Niagara Bank; and Tommaso Occhiuto, president, Progressive Direct Marketing.


Mark C. Massaro, a private wealth adviser with Ameriprise Financial, qualified in 2012 for the Ameriprise Circle of Success Program and was recently appointed to the company’s Chairman’s Advisory Council, which represents the top 100 producers ranked nationally.

Company Connections

Niagara County Produce recently started construction on its new store in Clarence. The facility will replace the current store at 8555 Transit Road, which has served the community for more than 50 years. The store is expected to be completed in early 2014.


LBM Construction, an Orchard Park-based general contracting firm and the Butler building franchise in Western New York, recently received two achievement awards from Butler Manufacturing Co.: the 2012 High Performance Builder and the 2012 Northern Region Builder of the Year awards.


Carleton Technologies, Orchard Park, was awarded a $1,667,125 federal contract for oxygen regulators from the U.S. Naval Supply Systems Command, Philadelphia.


Diversified Distributors, Akron, was awarded a $47,590 federal contract for MATLAB software maintenance from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Silver Spring, Md.
