The American College of Coverage and Extracontractual Counsel was formed by leading lawyers in the United States and Canada to improve the quality of the practice of insurance law. Thomas F. Segalla, a founding partner of Goldberg Segalla, is the college’s inaugural president, and Dan D. Kohane, senior member, Hurwitz & Fine, is a member of its founding board of regents.


The New York State Automobile Dealers Association, a statewide trade organization representing approximately 1,000 franchised new vehicle dealers, elected Craig Schreiber of Northtown Automotive Companies in Buffalo, chairman for 2012-13 at a meeting of its board of directors at the Boca Raton Resort and Club in Boca Raton, Fla.


Jaeckle Fleischmann & Mugel partner Robert W. Patterson recently presented at a CPE session sponsored by the Buffalo Chapter of the New York State Society of CPAs. The session was titled “What Finance Professionals Need to Know About the Affordable Care Act.”
