The Clarence Women’s Club will hold its Holiday Evening and dinner at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 3 in Protocol Restaurant, 6766 Transit Road, Amherst, with musical entertainment by Mike Horning Sr. In addition to the monthly donations for the Clarence Food Pantry and Erie County Home, unwrapped gifts will be collected for donation to Haven House. The Buffalo Federation of Women’s Clubs will hold its annual holiday party Dec. 6 at Brookfield Country Club, 5120 Shimerville Road, Clarence. The event begins with a cash bar at 11:30 a.m. and lunch at 12:30 p.m., with a basket auction, musical entertainment by Tony Pedulla and a welcome from Mrs. Claus. Monetary donations will be collected for Cradle Beach. Cost is $27; send funds to Terry Lisowski at 111 Messer Ave., Depew.


The Amherst Dance Club celebrates its 55th anniversary at 7 p.m. Dec. 8 with an Emerald Ball in Twentieth Century Club and music by the Richard Sowinski Band. Gil and Shirley Monacelli, club presidents, are co-chairs of the event. Other officers are: vice presidents, Jim and Sue Sahlem; treasurers, Jim and Sandy Elliott; secretaries, Bill and Kathy Cronberger; hospitality and membership chairs, John Heffron and Susan Grelick.


Variety Club Women will have a Holiday Tea at noon Dec. 1 in Variety Banquet Center, 6114 Broadway Ave., Lancaster. Served English style, the tea includes homemade delicacies, tea sandwiches, scones and sweet treats. There will be a basket auction and country kitchen. Cost is $15 plus a tea cup to donate; call Geri at 826-0975 by Sunday. Proceeds will benefit the 51st annual Variety Kids Telethon.
