Seneca Niagara Hotel patron scams more than $21,000

NIAGARA FALLS - A Lackawanna resident fled the Seneca Niagara Hotel Friday night with more than $21,000 worth of goods from several stores and boutiques within the facility, city police said.
The man checked into a hotel room about 10 p.m. and apparently spent the next 90 minutes visiting businesses within the hotel and charging items to his room, police said. Shortly before midnight, he apparently left the hotel without checking out or settling his bill, which by then stood at $21,116.83.
Investigators were checking surveillance videos to determine whether the man was directly responsible for all the purchases.
