Woman, child hurt in crash at Buffalo-West Seneca border

A woman and young child were taken to local hospitals Saturday evening, after being struck by a vehicle at South Buffalo-West Seneca border.
The woman and child were crossing Seneca Street at Burch Avenue about 7 p.m., when they were struck by a vehicle traveling west on Seneca, said Buffalo police spokesman Michael J. DeGeorge.
Police did not release their identities Saturday night.
The woman was taken to Erie County Medical Center with multiple injuries, while the child was taken to Women & Children's Hospital, DeGeorge said.
The Buffalo Police Accident Investigation Unit is handling the continuing investigation.
